The Riders have announced the signing of soon to be free agent defensive back, Loucheiz Purifoy to a contract extension.

Purifoy, whom the Riders acquired midway through the 2018 season after he was released by the Ottawa REDBLACKS, became a key part of the team’s defense down the stretch. He played 10 games last season with Saskatchewan and ended up with 27 defensive tackles and 3 interceptions. He also returned 9 kicks for 312 yards (34.7-yard average).
