This morning, the Riders announced the re-signing of WR/DB Duron Carter to a new 1 year dear. Duron Carter was high atop the list of must sign pending free agents for the Roughriders this offseason. Coming off a season that had him seemingly in the highlight reels weekly, the Riders are simply a better team with Carter on the field.
The energetic receiver had 73 catches for 1043 yards and 8 touchdowns, including one of the best catches we have seen in a long time in the end zone versus Toronto. He also returned a missed convert for 2 points, and picked off Bo Levi Mitchell in his first start at defensive back.
Duron Carter’s personality and energy seemed to fit in well in Ridernation, as he was arguably the most loved player on the field in 2017 and fans are certainly excited to have him back in the fold for another year.
