Game Day – Riders Host Stamps in Western Showdown

It’s Game Day Rider Nation! Your 3-1 Riders host he 1-3 Stampeders at Mosaic Stadium this week in what feels like a very important game when it comes to the playoffs. It might only be week 6, but if the Riders win this game, they win the season series and have a huge upper hand on their Alberta rivals going forward.

Another week and more injuries for the Riders who are getting absolutely decimated by injuries so far. This week, stud DB Rolan Milligan is out in the defensive backfield, while DL Anthony Lanier II will be missing from the D-Line. On the other side of the ball, OL Brandon Council will miss this game. We talked about the injury situation on the latest Piffles Podcast (subscribe and watch on YouTube!) and it really speaks to the team’s depth that they have overcome what they have so far, albeit with wins against Edmonton (twice) and Calgary. This is going to be yet another test for the team as they continue to prove they can hang with the top teams in the league.
