Game Day – Riders Ready to Host Redblacks

Published: Sunday, Aug 6th 2023, 1:08pm
Your Saskatchewan Roughriders will look to end a 3 game losing streak this evening when they host the up and Crum-ming Ottawa Redblacks at Mosaic Stadium. The Riders sit at 3-4 and 2023 is starting to look an awful lot like how 2022 played out. To avoid a complete disaster, the Riders HAVE to have a great showing tonight and come away with a victory.
Canadian receiver Brayden Lenius is out with a foot injury (6 game injured list) and that forces a ratio change. In his place will be young college standout Jerreth Sterns. Taking over the final starting Canadian spot is Charbel Dabire on the D-Line.
Mason Fine gets his third straight start and is looking to FINE-ally get a touchdown drive… and he’ll need to do it soon or the boo birds will be out. Craig Dickenson should have Fine on a shorter leash this week and hinted that we may see Jake Dolegala and Shea Patterson also take snaps this game.
