Game Day – Riders Search for Road Win in Ottawa

Published: Friday, Sep 22nd 2023, 11:09am
After a disappointing home loss to the Edmonton Elks last week, the Riders go back on the road for the first of two straight away from Mosaic Stadium, searching for a victory in Ottawa against the Redblacks.
Last week, the Riders got ran over by Tre Ford and Kevin Brown and injuries certainly caught up to the team, especially on defense. Anthony Lanier II, and Miles Brown are out on the D-Line this week so it’s up to the team’s depth to try and contain Dustin Crum. The defense is going to need to come out hot because over the last couple of road games, they’ve given up after the first drive of the game and that simply can not happen tonight.
The offense isn’t much of a worry, but the longer they can stay on the field, the better. Jamal Morrow is out, so running back Frankie Hickson will lead the run game. Jake Dolegala continues to impress and more importantly, progress, as the starting QB here in Riderville and we are expecting another strong showing him him.
