It appears that DL Micah Johnson’s time in Riderville has ended. Micah indicated on twitter tonight that he did not even receive a contract offer from the Roughriders. Set to become a free agent, Johnson was signed last offseason by the Riders and was reportedly the CFL’s highest paid defensive player, topping out at 250K. Stats wise it would seem like it was a down year with Johnson only getting 4 QB sacks to his credit (last year he had 14). Rumour has it that Johnson will most likely end up a member of the BC Lions when free agency begins tomorrow.
