As first reported by Piffles Podcast last evening, Canadian receiver Jake Harty has signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, not with the Montreal Alouettes as previously reported.
Harty joins Rob Bagg, Devon Bailey, Josh Stanford, Denzel Radford and Mitchell Picton as Canadian receivers on the roster and provides immediate depth, game experience and very solid special teams play to a team that is looking to make a serious run at this year’s Grey Cup in Edmonton.
Harty, a product of the University of Calgary Dinos, has 36 catches for 307 yards and a touchdown in his career.
