Officially Official, Trevor Harris is Riders New QB

In a shocking move of events, free agent QB Trevor Harris has signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders!
Ok, it’s not shocking since we’ve known this was going to happen, but it’s official today on day 1 of CFL Free Agency. I know a lot of people aren’t enamoured by this signing, but what else is out there? It was clear that 2022 was the last year for Cody Fajardo as the Riders QB and while Bo Levi Mitchell and Dane Evans were looked at as the most likely options, it’s Trevor Harris that will lead the Riders in 2023.
The relationship between Harris and the Montreal Alouettes soured and now Harris comes to Riderville looking to get back to a Grey Cup. While his age is up there in football years, this dude is in PEAK physical condition and I’ve talked to him a few times, not many are more motivated than him. I love this signing because while it may only be a bandaid fix in the short term, there is no long term plan at QB on the roster anyway and this will buy Jeremy O’Day some time to find the next guy… though I think Harris will be here for quite a few years.
Welcome to Riderville, Trevor!
