Piffles Picks: CFL Semi-Finals

The playoffs are upon us and while we wish our Saskatchewan Roughriders were playing this weekend, we’ll still be watching on Saturday afternoon to see who is moving on in the hopes of becoming Grey Cup Champions. Who does Piffles Podcast have winning this weekend?
East Semi Final: Hamilton @ Montreal
Steve (@Safimod) – Hamilton. History suggests that Cody Fajardo can put together a good regular season but until he shows me can do it when the lights come on, I’ve got Hamilton by a field goal.
Greg (@GregOnSports) – Montreal and it won’t be as close as the three point spread. They cover that easily and move on to Toronto.
Alex (@RealAlexD) – I want chaos and nothing would be more chaotic here in Saskatchewan than to see Cody Fajardo and Jason Maas win the Grey Cup the year after being the scapegoats. Montreal wins by double digits.
West Semi Final: Calgary @ BC
Steve – BC. Because even a bad Vernon Adams Jr. is better than whatever Jake Maier pretends to be. Calgary is still a 6-12 football team.
Greg – I like BC. My concern though is Vernon Adams Jr’s consistency. When he has a bad game, he has a REALLY bad game. But I don’t think Calgary has the horses (pun intended), so I think BC wins, but it will be closer than anticipated.
Alex – ABC. Anyone But Calgary. Anyone who has paid attention to The Piffles Podcast this season knows I am not a fan of Jake Maier and he’s a backup at best. BC will be ready and that week 20 game will still have them mad, despite clearly not caring. BC by 14+.
