Riders CFL Free Agency Day 3 Recap

Published: Thursday, Feb 14th 2019, 11:02pm
We FINALLY have our #1 receiver and we didn’t have to look far to find him. The big news on Thursday out of Riderville is that Naaman Roosevelt is back! This is huge as the Riders have their best receiver return AND we have a legitimate #1 threat. GREAT job Jeremy O’Day (although many are mad it took this long)
The Riders also brought in another quarterback, signing Cody Fajardo to a 1 year deal. He will back up Collaros for 2019 and will most certainly take over the short yardage packages from cornerback Nick Marshall.
What’s old is new again in Saskatchewan as defensive end AC Leonard returns to Saskatchewan after 1 year in Ottawa. Leonard will likely be the frontrunner to replace Willie Jefferson at defensive end and should have some great competition from Chad Geter.
A few losses for the Riders as well. Receiver Caleb Holley and linebacer Kevin Francis both went to Ottawa.
These moves came after we released episode 109 of the show, where we looked at the first two days of free agency. On the next show we will talk a bit about these moves and more!
