Riders Re-Sign Receiver Lenius – Bubble Guy or Must Have?

On Thursday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they re-signed Canadian receiver Brayden Lenius to a one year contract extension.

We were going to talk about the pending group of Riders free agent receivers on the last episode of The Piffles Podcast, but we pushed it to next week. I was going to say he was a must have re-signing for General Manager Jeremy O’Day, despite the injury history that Lenius has. Greg said he thinks that Lenius is a bubble guy.

Lenius missed the start of last season with a lacerated kidney, came back for Touchdown Atlantic and missed the rest of the season with a lisfranc sprain in his foot.

We’ll have the full debate on next week’s podcast (subscribe now so you don’t miss an episode!), but we want to know… was Brayden Lenius a must for the Riders to keep, would he have been on the bubble for you, or would you have let him walk in free agency? Let us know in the comments!
