The Riders announced the signing of International defensive back John Ojo, previously with the Edmonton Eskimos. His only season in the CFL (2015), Ojo made 41 tackles, 8 special teams tackles, and 5 interceptions. He will shore up an already stacked defensive backfield that has Ed Gainey, Crezdon Butler and Jovon Johnson.
Ojo missed the entire 2016 with a ruptured achilles, but still ended up signing with the New York Jets in 2017.
