Published: Wednesday, Jul 31st 2019, 4:07pm

The Zach Collaros era is over in Riderville. The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced that they have traded Collaros to the Toronto Argonauts for a conditional 2020 4th round draft choice. The pick can become a 2nd round pick depending on playing time and contract extension clauses. Collaros moves to Toronto after 2 seasons in Saskatchewan where he started 15 games and had a 10 – 5 record as a starter. He has battled through injuries since tearing his ACL in the middle of the 2015 season while with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Concussion issues lead to missing 4 games in 2018 and after rehabbing during the off-season Collaros was knocked out of the first game of the 2019 season. With this move, the Riders will clear about 90,000 + playtime bonuses in cap space as we get closer to NFL cuts being avialable.
