1 – Calgary (10-2)
2 – Edmonton (7-5)
3 – Ottawa (7-5)
4 – Saskatchewan (7-5)
5 – Hamilton (6-6)
6 – BC (5-6)
7 – Winnipeg (5-7)
8 – Montreal (3-9)
9 – Toronto (3-8)
Another crazy week in the CFL sees more movement in the middle of my weekly Power Rankings. Once again, Calgary wins and holds on to their top spot. They will likely keep that spot warm until the playoffs. From there, who knows what Calgary will do?
Edmonton had the week off and moves up to 2nd on the back of a Rider loss. Ottawa jumps up from 5th to 3rd place after a very convincing 30-25 win over the 2nd place Saskatchewan Roughriders. Don’t let that score fool you, folks. Ottawa was far and away the better team on Saturday night in Regina. Speaking of the Riders, they fall from 2nd to 4th after a loss that saw only 1/3 of the team show up (well done, special teams).
BC sees a jump up the standings after their win over the Montreal Alouettes, who come crashing back down to Earth after their two game winning streak. Will Johnny Football’s return to the starting QB spot help or hinder this team that is in desperate need of a win to remain in the playoff race?
