The Roughriders move back into 2nd on the back of a big Thanksgiving Monday win over the Edmonton Eskimos at Mosaic Stadium. While the defense hasn’t been great the last few weeks, they certainly came to play in week 17. While the offense struggled to find the end zone, they did move the ball consistently throughout the game. There have been some positives there as we head in to the playoffs.

Ottawa dropped down a couple spots after their loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Solid comeback late in the 4th quarter that was foiled by a bad fumble inside the 5 yard line in overtime. Good teams find ways to win, and Ottawa almost found one when they had no business making it close. On a side note – congratulations to REDBLACKS kicker for breaking the all-time record for most consecutive field goals. Not bad for a rookie.

Winnipeg moves up to 3rd after their OT win over the previously mentioned Ottawa REDBLACKS. Almost gave it away late, but held on for dear life.

Hamilton stays in 5th following their bye week.

BC moves up to 6th after a big win over the Toronto Argonauts. With Edmonton’s loss, and BC’s win, Edmonton fell to 5th in the Western Division. Wouldn’t have predicted that in September, but here we are.
